"He gathers the waters of the sea into jars."

This is my favorite image from a series I completed last spring for a class. Each image in the series is based on a verse from the Bible, specifically verses that have extremely descriptive imagery in the language. I then photographically rendered the words for their literal meaning (not metaphorical or interpretive).

the last of the season. fa-fa-fa-fa-freezing.

last week it was 50 degrees, and i went jogging outside. yesterday it snowed over a foot.

there's a street in there somewhere, i swear. (sorry for the crappy phone picture.)

today classes were cancelled, and i'm wishing i were at home with this weirdo. oh, and the green grass and sunshine don't look too bad either.

very soon i'll be putting up some of the things i've been working on in my classes lately. stay tuned!

last weekend i went to see my friends mandy and devin's daughter lucy elaine rubink get baptized.
it was nice to see some old friends, not to mention a super cute baby!

the end of january.

january's over already? what? i hope that means spring is coming. i can't wait for the ten foot snowbanks to melt.
i thought i'd share a few photos from my weekend:

i found a few treasure bargains at the craft closeout store. a pendant with a crazy magician on it and a cute birdie tray.

i colored my hair dark brown. i'm extremely happy to be rid of the red tones i've been battling for a while. (yay!) and i made some scrumptious chai latte cupcakes. here's the recipe if you're interested.
